Here is the first map I made. It not that great but I wanted to start putting out maps because I can't find any on this forum.

Recommended Instructions:
1. Download map
2. Navigate to your Cobalt install folder (by default C:\Games\Cobalt)
3. Place map file in the maps_dev folder
4. Run Cobalt
5. Press f2 to go into dev mode
6. Press f4 or use the dropdown menu and head to the level editor
7. Open the map in the level editor from the file menu in the top left.
8. Press f4 to return to dev mode screen
9. Use the menu and select in-game mode

There is also another method discovered by Uruoki in which you can replace one of the maps in the real game with a custom map. Unfortunately, it will have to be called whatever map you replace and you will lose the map until you restore it to the maps folder (So, make a back up!). The benefits of this method are more control of game options and automatic restarting.

Alternative Instructions:
1. Download map
2. Navigate to your Cobalt install folder (by default C:\Games\Cobalt)
3. Place the map in the maps folder
4. Rename the map to one of these deathmatch maps
- MiniVersus.map (Secret Hideout)
- dm_cannon.map (Cannon Area)
- dm_jazz.map (Smooth Jazz)
- ChallengeVS3.map (Blaster Ballet)
- ChallengeVS1.map (Space Zone)
5. Run cobalt and the map can now be accessed from the deathmatch menu (under assumed name)

It should show you the map and give you a bot to play against. Enjoy the map!

yes there are teams. when you join a match it will list all the possible teams you can join in addition to an auto select. Unfortunately, the dev mode is much harder to customize matches on, so you will likely be limited to playing against 1 AI opponent unless you invite some friends over.

It should work automatically, he did set up the map to enable bots.
